ORiS

ORiS transmits power wirelessly separating its generation from the point of end use. The technology developed is capable of transmitting over long distances kW of power with micro-radiant resolution.

The first application envisioned by ORiS involves the lunar market, recharging future human bases and powering lunar ground operations. ORiS will employ satellites orbiting the Moon and receivers placed on its surface, using high-power lasers that will transmit energy with high accuracies over distances of thousands of kilometers.

The proposed technology can be used in numerous other applications: from active removal of space debris, to power transfer for civil and industrial uses in the terrestrial environment.
