Orbital Outpost Italy will design, assemble, integrate, test and sell products for energy storage & water electrolysis, aiming to become a major provider of critical resources in space such as pressurized hydrogen and oxygen, water, heat and energy.
Towards this end, it is initially developing highly efficient systems for extracting resources in situ from the Moon, primarily water and sunshine. The target market segments are space platforms, orbital, transport, and stationary which require electricity and heat or large scale H2 and O2 for fuel and small-scale distributed power applications.
Orbital Outpost Italy uses base technology licensed from a US partner developed since 2016 from US DOE, NASA, and NSF grants, while developing space-rated products that can be customized for business partners requirements.
