The business of space is about collaboration and bringing together potential customers, investors and business partners to help the European space industry flourish. In order to do so, the European Space Agency (ESA) invites members of the space community to attend the Industry Space Days 2024 (ISD) at ESA/ESTEC (Noordwijk, The Netherlands) on 18 – 19 September 2024.
The ISD is organised by the SME section in the ESA Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness to foster cooperation between different actors in the entire space sector. The biennial event is now on its eleventh edition: previously, it gathered 1700 participants from 800 companies and institutions from Europe’s space industry.
Key elements of the event include:
pre-scheduled 1-on-1 meetings to establish new contacts in an efficient and time-saving manner
an exhibition with ESA and industry booths and the possibility to engage with future partners (fully booked)
keynotes and panel discussions with contributions by ESA, industry, investors and institutional partners
ESA presentations and workshops about business opportunities and future activities
The full programme of the two event days is available online.
The ESA BIC Village
This year, ESA celebrates the 20-year anniversary of its Business Incubation Centre network which has grown to 30 Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs) across 21 European Participating States - among which the one in Turin, Italy - giving business support to about 200 new space-based start-up companies each year.
With 170 stands in the Industry Space Days (ISD) exhibition hall, six booths are reserved for selected upcoming start-ups in an area called the ESA BIC Village.
Of the 69 start-ups which applied to their BIC for the chance to occupy a booth, 24 were selected for the village. Each start-up is allotted half a day to present their products, services or innovations.
During the event, corporate partners of ESA’s Partnership Initiative for Commercialisation (EPIC) will have the opportunity to schedule meetings with these start-ups.
How to join the event
The event is open to entities and investors from ESA Member States, Associate States and Cooperating States.
The participation fee is €50 per person (excl. VAT), including entry to the event, access to the B2B platform, shuttle bus services as well as two lunches and a networking reception.
Registration to participate in the event is open on its official website.
